Sports Massage & Homeopathy
Suzannah Torres-BSc hons, LCHE RShom, ITEC
Sports Massage Therapist & Homeopath
My experience and understanding of sports injuries and rehabilitation began as a teenager where I was a competitive swimmer for seven years. The treatments available to athletes today were not on offer back then and it is obvious that my training would have greatly benefited from the sports massage and homeopathy that I practice now, for injury rehabilitation and for the strengthening of the body’s immune system for recovery.
The studies that led me to this specific area began in 1997 and I gained my BSc Hons degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2001, gained a post graduate qualification certificate in Clinical Respiratory Physiology, graduated in a degree with a Licenciate in Homeopathy in 2008 and finally I’m qualified with a degree level 3 ITEC in Sports Massage Therapy in 2011.
Throughout this time I gained 11 years experience working in the Healthcare Sector, achieved a senior grading within the NHS before moving to the private Healthcare sector, and my experiences as a respiratory clinical physiologist and in testing the body’s reaction to cardio pulmonary exercise led me to the sports rehabilitation that I practice now.
My knowledge and experience have given me an integrated and highly specialised approach to Sports Massage and Homeopathy, and I have gained proven results, time and again, for athletes in many fields of sports, such as Cycling, Hockey, Football, Rugby through to Martial Arts.
